Summary of the role:
  
An exciting opportunity has come available for a Senior Risk Reporting & Governance Consultant to join the Risk Governance function as Diligenta.
  
In this role, you will lead the delivery of high‑quality, timely, and insightful risk reporting that supports effective governance and informed decision‑making across the organisation. You will oversee the production of quarterly reporting packs, maintain key governance documentation, and engage with stakeholders to ensure clarity and consistency in all risk outputs.
  
You will also lead a team of Risk Reporting Specialists, ensuring strong delivery and supporting a cohesive, high‑performing environment. In addition, you will participate in Diligenta’s Step‑In Leadership Programme as part of the organisation’s commitment to developing future leaders.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Leading and developing the Risk Reporting Team, providing coaching, feedback, and growth opportunities to build capability and engagement.
  • Delivering timely, accurate, and value-added risk reporting that supports Risk Partnering and Oversight Teams, and informs governance forums such as RACC and RMCC.
  • Supporting the Risk Governance Manager in maintaining and enhancing the Risk Management Framework and associated documentation, ensuring compliance with version control and review cycles.
  • Driving improvements in reporting quality, consistency, and usability, leveraging technology and best practices to meet evolving stakeholder needs.
  • Working closely with Risk Partnering, Oversight, Specialism teams, and other Line 2 functions (including Compliance and Financial Crime) to ensure reporting reflects key risk themes and supports effective risk management across the business.
  • Maintaining and manage a forward schedule of reporting deliverables and documentation reviews, ensuring timely completion and dependency management.
  • Identifying and implement opportunities to streamline reporting processes, enhance data integrity, and improve the clarity and impact of risk insights.
  • Providing input into risk governance initiatives, projects, and assurance activities, supporting the function’s strategic priorities and transformation agenda.
  • Exploring opportunities to leverage data analytics and GRC tooling to enhance reporting capabilities and risk insight delivery.
  • Ensuring internal governance reporting meets senior stakeholder expectations, clearly articulating risk trends and emerging issues.
What we’re looking for:
  • Demonstrated experience in risk, governance, or reporting within a regulated environment, delivering accurate outputs to tight deadlines and supporting governance or regulatory reporting processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability, with the ability to interpret complex data, identify insights, and present findings clearly to varied audiences.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, alongside familiarity with risk systems or reporting tools (such as DORAS, Power BI, or automation techniques like macros) to enhance reporting quality and efficiency.
  • Ability to lead, coach, and develop a small team, fostering collaboration, capability growth, and continuous improvement across reporting processes.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including confidence engaging with senior leaders and cross‑functional teams to influence decisions, shape reporting requirements, and support governance forums.
