Job Title: Finance Business Analyst
Business Area: Corporate and Support Services
I joined Diligenta starting on the Project Management Apprenticeship Graduate scheme and now work as a Finance Business Analyst. I've already completed one apprenticeship and am completing another, both helping me work towards professional qualifications and my career goals. I support a range of recruitment activities including interviews, attending careers fairs, helping with onboarding, and general administration to ensure a smooth candidate experience.
I worked in the jewellery industry for over 35 years, but after closing my business, I took a short sabbatical and transitioned into a new chapter, joining Diligenta as a Customer Service Representative. Motivated by my passion for people and customer service, I soon began supporting operational recruitment - helping others find meaningful career paths.

Job Title: Communications Assistant
Business Area: Corporate and Support Services
I support Diligenta's Central Communications and Engagement team to deliver our activities, issuing company-wide communications as seamlessly as possible, ensuring our colleagues are engaged and kept up-to-date across the company. I joined Diligenta in 2019 as a Customer Service Representative, where I developed strong complaint resolution skills. In 2022, I moved into the Complaints team, then into an admin-focused role improving internal processes, which sparked my interest in behind-the-scenes work. A colleague later recommended me for a new Communications Assistant role. I'm now learning new skills and grateful for the unexpected career path Diligenta helped me discover.

Job Title: Senior Internal Auditor
Business Area: Corporate and Support Services
I've enjoyed a long-term career at Diligenta, with 13 years in Complaints, progressing to Senior Officer and a secondment in the Incident team. In 2015, I moved into Transformation as a Business Analysis, then transitioned into Internal Audit in 2017. Along the way, I've gained several professional qualifications - many funded by Diligenta - including the Financial Planning Certificate and a Chartered Insurance Institute diploma. Although I didn't study law at university as I'd hoped, pursuing qualifications later in my career reignited my passion for learning. I've proven to myself that you don't need a degree to succeed in the financial industry.

Job Title: Lead Actuarial Analyst
Business Area: Change & Transformation
Diligenta has been very supportive of my actuarial career. I’ve taken most of my actuarial exams while being both a student and a mother; and I’ve had great support to do so. I’ve also had the chance to take part in the Step Up programme for aspiring leaders and enjoyed every moment. Being good with numbers doesn’t automatically mean you’ll be good with people! But the programme has given me the tools for continual growth and to lead with confidence.
