Summary of the role
An exciting opening has arisen. We're seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst to join our dynamic operations team. In this role, you will join a team of Actuarial Analysts to service client calculation queries, work closely with clients and other stakeholders, and contribute to the evolution of an expanding business. What you'll be doing
- Use analysis techniques to investigate, validate, and enhance complex calculations and actuarial models.
- Analyse and assess complex calculations for clients, delivering clear, actionable solutions in line with the client's expectations and with consideration to Consumer Duty requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to implement changes-whether regulatory, client-driven, or corrective.
- Support the operations teams to respond to customer queries, by answering calculation-related queries, recalculating values, and correcting policy errors when needed.
- Ensure all work meets the expected standards, including but not limited to Actuarial Technical Standards and is completed to a high quality on time and within agreed budgets.
What we're looking for
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in actuarial roles within the Life and Pensions sector, ideally experience with defined contribution pensions.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas clearly to a wide variety of audiences.
- Proven ability to provide mentor and coaching support to individuals.
- Experience in outsourced service and client quote management.
- Exceptional analytical skills, with confidence in handling large datasets under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, modelling, and automation a plus).
- A structured, methodical approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
